Chair of Security and Defence Workdays <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aeorum\u2019s\nChair of Technologies for Security and Defence from the UMA, promoted by the\nHigher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineer, has inaugurated today\nthe workdays about management of drone fleets and anti-drone devices, gathering\none more year an important part of the European Ministries of Interior regarding\nthe development of R&D+i solutions applied to security and defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\ntotal of 15 states, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Portugal,\nBulgaria, the Netherlands, Greece, Finland, Slovenia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia\nand Spain take part in the different presentations and working sessions, in\nwhich Spain provides a broad institutional representation of the Ministry of\nInterior, with the presence of experts from the Spanish Civil Guard, Spanish\nNational Police, Subdirectorate General of Information and Communications\nSystem for the Protection of Critical Infrastructures and Cybersecurity, among\nothers. All the states represented take part in the police working groups\n\u201cENLETS\u201d and \u201cPIONEER\u201d focused on police technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nopen ceremony of the workdays has counted with the presence of the Rector of de\nUniversity of M\u00e1laga, Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel Narv\u00e1ez, the director of the SIRDEE Programme\nand of the R&D+i department, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Cebri\u00e1n de Barrio, managers of\nENLETS and the PIONEER programme, Patrick Padding y Tanya L., respectively, and\nthe executive director of AEORUM, Jes\u00fas Garc\u00eda Merino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Narv\u00e1ez\nhas highlighted AEORUM\u2019s Chair as \u201ca magnificent example of how a university-based\nspin-off project can become a formidable international company, of which we\nfeel very proud\u201d. The Rector has also highlighted during its intervention the\nimportance of security: \u201cIt is fundamental for democracy, for freedom,\nultimately, to build a better society\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
