Open Innovation Platform for Collaborative Robotic Systems of Production 4.0

Experimental development of a design and prototype of a complete collaborative robotic mission management system aimed at Production 4.0 sectors. The system bases its structure on the concept of open innovation, which moves away from the idea of a closed and homogeneous solution and incorporates the concept of collective intelligence. In this way, a system is built to be modular and scalable.

OpenSIROCO aims to develop a generic platform capable of abstracting all the functions commonly used in robotics projects. Specifically, specific functions will be implemented for three types of devices: Unmmaned Aerial Robots (UAVs or drones), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) and specific fixed sensors located in the environment.
As an open platform, it is possible to continuously update the system by integrating new applications and robotic agents as they appear on the market.

OpenSIROCO will be able to provide developers with the necessary tools to be able to access these devices and operate them easily, leaving the implementation of more specific functions for each of the specific problems to the discretion of the developer. In this way, it is possible to have a dynamic and scalable system that adapts to evolving needs of the organization over time.
